Resolution and imaging capabilities in electron microscopy have been revolutionized by the realization of Cs and Cc aberration correctors in the past 10 years. The benefits are now obvious in all fields of electron microscopy not only in materials sience but also for biological applications. The name of Maximilian Haider is inextinguishably associated with this success story.
The workshop aims at highlighting progress of electron microscopy in biology and materials sience based on aberration corretion and the discussion of new developments in this thriving field.
